From Shared Beginnings to Community Impact

From Shared Beginnings to Community Impact

Our story began over 12 years ago when our founders, Ginger Freeman and Emily Spence, first shared a small office and even a single desk. From those humble beginnings, we grew as counselors, colleagues, and advocates for mental health and substance use treatment. Our shared passion for helping others and the lessons we learned from our mentors inspired us to take a leap of faith and open our own practice. In late 2020, we established our first location in South Hill, Virginia, in a space once used by our mentor to provide outpatient counseling. This full-circle moment felt like a meaningful tribute to the guidance and encouragement that helped shape us into the professionals we are today.

What started as a team of two quickly grew as we realized the tremendous need for accessible, high-quality counseling in our community. By January 2023, we expanded to Danville, Virginia, and in May 2023, we opened our third location in Emporia, Virginia. Each step of this journey has been fueled by our dedication to providing compassionate care and creating a space where individuals, families, and professionals can thrive. From offering outpatient mental health and substance use counseling to clinical supervision and professional consultation, our mission has always been to meet the needs of our community with expertise, empathy, and unwavering support.
